Son-Screen

Make sure you’re protected.

Last week as I was driving home, my face started to feel funny from the sun/heat. In that moment, I started to wonder if this is why they tell you to wear sunscreen even if you’re not going to be directly in the sun. From that moment forward, I make a decision to wear sunscreen every day.

Fast forward a day or so later, the sunscreen made me think about The Son (Jesus) and how much we need Him daily. When I apply sunscreen to my face, you can see a slight white cast on my skin. Throughout the day, the white cast isn’t as visible but if I touch my face, I can still feel the sunscreen. I’m still protected. This all reminds me of having a relationship with Jesus. He is our protection from this world if we accept Him as our Lord and Savior. We put Him on daily by praying and talking to Him throughout the day. This is the same as the Armor of God that we are to put on daily. Equip ourselves with the Word in order to get through each day.

It may not always feel like He is there or present but God is omnipresent and the only way to Him is through His Son. We have to reapply our Son-screen daily. It may feel like you are alone in some situations or in life but you are protected. Even though you can’t see it, check your pulse. It’s proof that you are here and protected.

If you aren’t saved and want to experience this type of Son-screen(protection), just read this prayer aloud:

“Father God, in the name of Jesus, I thank You for Your Son, Jesus Christ. I believe that He died and rose just for me. Father God, in the Name of Jesus, I repent for my sins and I turn to You. I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

Sincerely, Angie

The Cheat Code to Resetting Your Life

Life reset for the last quarter of 2024 and beyond.

We can’t go back and change anything we did in the first 3 quarters of 2024 but we can forgive ourselves and do better in the last 3 months of the year and moving forward. I’ll keep this short and sweet. Originally, I was going to make this a budgeting and financial post but because life is life-ing for everyone, this is just going to be an overall catch up and reset.

Happy September y’all. I know September is almost outta here but since we have the time right now and we know that tomorrow isn’t promised, we will be grateful for today. Which brings me to the first tip.

Gratitude – Be grateful for whatever season you are in now. Whether you are broke, alone, happy, at peace, jobless, sick or thriving, be grateful for the place you are in. It won’t always be like this, good or bad. The seasons have to change. I know that sounds crazy but you don’t have to take my word for it, just look back over your life or anyone close to you. Have they been broke forever, sad forever, jobless forever, no. Trials come and go, just be grateful in this season that it’s not worse or even because you know there’s a lesson to be learned from this.

Give – If gratitude wasn’t enough of a cheat code, giving is. It could be your time, your talents or even your treasure. Giving selflessly is a feel good activity. When you’re able to bless someone with something that you have as overflow or even from an area of lack, it feels really good. Even if you didn’t want to give in the moment, I’m sure at some point, you’ll realize that what you gave away didn’t actually hurt you. The best part about giving is that whatever you give, you get back multiplied or better.

God – He’s not last but for the sake of this post, last was fitting and hopefully drives you to place Him first. Having a relationship with God will not solve every problem right away but He will hold your hand along the way. There will be comfortable times and uncomfortable times. Quiet and loud moments, but at each season, He is always worth it. He is the literal key for unlocking a life fulfilled. ANY THING you ask, He WILL answer. Understanding that HE knows best is the part that makes it easy. Get to know Him! Seek Him! Love Him! Believe Him! Trust Him and His timing.

Sincerely,

Angie

Nouns of the Week

I could’ve called it Nouns of the Year, since my last one was in May of 2023. But, we all know how life does. No excuses though. There really are so many nouns that I love and I believe that I could really do this weekly, unfortunately, I’m not that consistent.

Person: Jesus. Sadly I don’t have a picture for this one because well, I don’t think anyone has gotten it quite right visually and honestly, how could they?! The Bible has been a best seller since the beginning of time. Many people have studied it and it has been broken down into many different versions to help others better understand God’s Word and His son Jesus. I’ve never read the Bible in its entirety but each chance I get, I try to watch movies or shows on the different stories in the Bible to get a better understanding visually. Most have done a really great job with their depictions. One TV series in particular has done an exceptional job is, Angel Studios “The Chosen”. It eloquently tells the story of Jesus and each episode seemingly goes line for line from the Gospels. It gives great visuals of who Jesus was and what He was sent to do. This last season that premiered had me on pins and needles because I really dislike this part of His life. Luckily I have time to prepare for season 5. I predict that it will be Passion of The Christ but a softer yet impactful version.

If you have no idea what and Who I am talking about but you would love to get to know Jesus, close your eyes in whatever place or space you are in and invite Him in! He is my Lord and Savior and He would love it if you decided to believe in Him also. Our Father God is waiting on you also!

Place: Fragrance Vault in 📍Lake Tahoe. I haven’t stopped thinking about this place since I left there. Quick story time. I went to Lake Tahoe a couple of weeks ago and I saw this place from afar as we were getting food and I said, I’ll go there before the trip is over to see what it’s about. Well on the last day before flying out, we went there and I was blown away. The atmosphere, the customer service, knowledge and awareness was top tier. They had so many fragrances and the décor was so unique and cute. Then there was Oliver, the store’s furry gentle giant. The store’s owner Jana was so willing to help find the perfect fragrance and so knowledgeable. Finally, there was Mackenzie, she is the silent killer. She played the background the whole time then came through like a thief in the night and sealed the deal for me. I’ll do a video on this place to give it the necessary shine that it deserves. But they have over 5,000 fragrances and offer sample/decant sizes on current or discontinued scents. I will definitely visit again. If someone is willing to travel just to go back to one store, that says a lot.

Thing: My tripod! It’s almost the same height as me! I had a smaller one similar to it for a few years and I lost it in Dubai.😢 I was so mad and sad about it and I finally found a bigger and better version. It comes with a remote and it doubles as a selfie stick. It’s still a travel size but just a little bigger than my last one but I am so obsessed with it! I no longer have to prop it on top of chairs and shoeboxes, it’s tall enough to get my full body. You can get yours here!

Sincerely,

Angie
